Lorna sees nursing as “her oxygen”.
Lorna is a very dedicated hard working Nurse and Professor. She is a worldwide leader in healthcare with the International Nurses Association and was honored for her exceptional success in the nursing community. Lorna’s many years in the Nursing Industry, has demonstrated the passion, dedication and enthusiasm for patient care necessary to be considered a top nurse in her field in 2013.
Lorna has her RN Bachelor of Nursing from New Brunswick University and Masters of Arts and Masters of Education and PhD Readiness from Central Michigan University, and continues on to help start new healthcare businesses in her community.
She has worked as a professor at Seneca College, Centennial College, York University, in the BSCN Bridging Nursing Program. She also works as a Clinical Educator at George Brown College and in the Surgical Program at Trillium Health Partners.
Lorna is an executive member at Kingdom Covenant Ministries. Lorna has done couples counseling and mentoring. She has gone on many missionary trips to South Africa, Peru, Jamaica, Philippines, and many other countries.
In June 2021, out of more than 10,000 dedicated healthcare workers at Trillium Health Partners; Lorna was awarded for HONOURED A HEALTHCARE CHAMPION. Her picture is posted on the elevator door at Trillium Health Partners, Credit Valley Hospital, and Queensway Urgent Care.
Lorna continues to be a trailblazer in the healthcare community, especially with seniors.
